MSTP Admissions Timeline

Applicants to the Medical Scientist Training Program apply through the regular Pritzker School of Medicine admissions process. MSTP applications will screened by two committees, the MSTP Committee on Admissions and the MD Admissions Committee. If applicants are not accepted into the MST program, their application will still be considered for regular decision into the MD program. Interest and potential in medical science and in basic research are important criteria for selection by the MSTP Admissions Committee. Accepted MSTP trainees apply to the PhD programs in the Biological Sciences during their first two years of medical school.

MSTP interviews take place overnight Wednesday-Friday from January-March. Applicants who are not chosen for an MSTP interview, may still be invited to interview for the MD program. MSTP applicants cannot apply for the MeSH program.
